What is Semi-Permanent Make Up?

It is a process where advanced pigments are inserted into the dermal layer of the skin, which (after their second visit), should last for several years. Clients will require a patch test prior to the first procedure to help ensure that there will not be any allergic reaction to the pigment or anaesthetic. 99.9% of people do not have any reaction at all.

How Long Does it Take to Have a Treatment?

You will need to allow 1.5 hours for your first procedure. If you intend to have a “full face” (3 procedures together) then you should allow 3 hours in total.

How Long Does it Last?

Semi-Permanent Make-Up should last for several years. Over that time the colour will fade and break down. It is suggested that you come back to us for a top up” procedure every 18 months/2 years to keep the look complete and fresh.

Does It Hurt?

Some clients feel no discomfort at all – others feel minimal discomfort. We use topical anaesthetics to control pain tolerance. Clients say that having a procedure is similar to having their eyebrows plucked or their legs waxed. Once the procedure is complete there is no discomfort.

Will I Be Able to Go Out Without Everyone Noticing?

After a procedure the area treated will be darker and more intense. This will last for a few days until the area exfoliates and the true colour emerges. Generally it is only you who notices the darker colour. If anaesthetic is used you may swell slightly – this will go down usually by the end of the day. It is suggested that if you are having an eyeliner procedure that you bring a pair of dark glasses with you (as you may look as if you have been crying). A little inconvenient but the long term results are well worth it.

What About After Care?

You will be given a comprehensive after care guide after the treatment, along with verbal instructions.
